Abstract

This project compares Ironman triathletes with the idea of the American Dream and through research and analysis finds the connection between the two. This project is developed by examining the notion of “culture” through a wide lens and focusing on Ironman part and designicipants. The connection between the two stems from the theory that American culture is part and designicularly individualistic and this individualistic culture is what attracts triathletes to the Ironman.
