Abstract

Program is for the play by William Shakespeare. The play follows Don Pedro, prince of Aragon, who after winning a military engagement visits Messina with his half-brother Don John and two soldiers, Claudio and Benedick. Claudio upon meeting Hero, the governor of Messina’s daughter, is smitten and the two are betrothed at a masked ball. Benedick, on the other hand, merely quarrels with Beatrice, Hero’s cousin. The play was directed by Gil Gonzalez and ran October 2010. Program was created by the Whittier College Theatre Department.
