Abstract

Program is for the play by Alfred Uhry. The play is set in the upper class German-Jewish community in Atlanta, Georgia in 1939. A highly assimilated Jewish family is looking forward to Ballyhoo, a lavish cotillion ball hosted by their country club, where they will learn to examine their bias, identity, and belifes. The play was directed by Jack de Vries and ran May 2002. Program was created by the Whittier College Theatre Department.
