Abstract

This collection of interviews was taken from several Whittier College senior students regarding their initial reactions to the college’s decision to transition to online learning in the Spring of 2020. These seniors spent their last year of college under stay-at-home orders, which is when many seniors are taking their highest level courses. The seniors were also asked about how the pandemic impacted their learning experience. The students interviewed are Amelia Gregorio, Gage Proctor, and Hakim Williams. Gregorio, Proctor, and Williams were interviewed through email correspondence. All students who responded were asked the same questions in the email. These responses have the added context of being the perspectives of individuals in the history major, and though they express similar perspectives, they are all in themselves singular to their experience.
