Abstract

This interview with Rylie Driscall seeks to highlight the experience of freshmen during the COVID-19 pandemic. Contrary to seniors who spent their last year in college, freshmen admitted for the 2020-2021 school year began their college career in the midst of a pandemic. Freshmen Rylie Driscall recalls their expectations for their first year in college, how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted their overall attitude towards their education, and their optimism in returning to campus in the fall. Driscall expressed excitement to step foot on campus, but also expressed worry about safety.
