Abstract
Hubert attended Whittier College with Nixon and was the college's football manager. Hubert's father, Herman Lee Perry, had a major role in launching Nixon's political career. Hubert and Richard were both members of Whittier College's glee club. He recalled a time when Nixon said he would not like to be in local politics, but had instead considered Congress.
