Abstract
During phase 3 of the COMPTON Observatory mission (August 93 - October 94), the Virgo region (containing the quasars 3C 279 and 3C 273) has been observed for a total of about 8 weeks by the EGRET instrument which is sensitive to photons with energies in the range of 30MeV to about 20GeV. The quasars 3C 279 and 3C 273 have been detected again. In addition, several more sources have been detected by EGRET during these observations. In this paper preliminary results on 3C 273, 3C 279, 1219+285 and PKS 1222+216 are presented.
