In this literature review, nine different private liberal arts colleges from three different regions were chooses in order to analyze their mission statement, their student and faculty demographics, and how these institutions are advocating and implementing diversity through the use of specific programs or events. The names of nine institutions will not be provided in the research, but they will be distinguished through the use of specific labeling. In order to compare and understand how diverse these colleges are, a non bias rubric was developed through the use of multiple sources that allow me to analyze how an institution practices diversity.
