Abstract
This project is centered on the practice of herbal medicine through traditional Hispanic women and men healers known as curanderas and curanderos. This research paper focuses on the herbal remedies, beliefs, personal stories, and other bits of facts about traditional herbal medicine of the Southwest United States. This examines the history of herbal healing, how plants are selected for use, and their location within New Mexico.
