Abstract
This project revolves around sustainable development which aims to achieve economic growth and industrialization without environmental damage. This project specifically focuses on sustainability especially that of the Port of Long Beach. Sections include defining sustainable development, a history of port pollution, the green port policy, essential components of a sustainable strategy, pollution prevention, cutting emissions at the POLB, Mitigation Projects, and Community Involvement.
