Abstract
Program heading is for the play by William Shakespeare. Macbeth, a Scottish general, receives a prophecy from a trio of witches that he will one day become king. Encouraged by his wife and fueled by his ambition, he kills King Duncan, becomes the new king, and continues to kill people out of guilt and paranoia. The play ran March 1963 and the program heading was created by the Whittier College Theatre Department.
