Abstract

Program heading is for the musical with music by Harvey Schmidt and lyrics by Tom Jones. The musical follows two neighboring fathers who trick their children into falling in love by pretending to feud. The story is told through the eyes of El Gallo the bandit, who later works with the fathers to plan an end to their fake feud. The play ran December 1963 and the heading was created by the Whittier College Theatre Department.
