Abstract
The program is for the play by William Shakespeare. Two friends, Proteus and Valentine, travel to Milan where both fall in love with Sylvia, daughter of the duke of Milan. Sylvia requites the love of Valentine alone, but Proteus continues his pursuit of Sylvia despite having Julia, his girlfriend in Verona. Proteus and Valentine’s friendship is strained over the circumstances but eventually reconcile. Proteus falls in love again with Julia and both couples marry. The play was adapted and directed by Gil Gonzalez and ran March 2020. The program was created by the Whittier College Theatre Department.
