Abstract

Program is for the play by John Millington Synge. The play follows Christy Mahon who goes into Flaherty’s tavern where he claims to have killed his own father. The skill with which Christy recounts his story along with his other exploits, make him into a town hero. This also causes multiple women to become attracted to him one of which is Flaherty’s daughter, Pegeen, who is already engaged to another man. The play was directed by Crystal Brian and ran November 1996. Program was created by the Whitter College Theatre Department.
