Abstract
In this letter, Florence thanks Lorena for a book on story writing. She shares that Japan is struggling as a result of American occupation, but that people are more interested in Christianity than ever. Despite their earlier hopes, she and Miss Yoshida are unable to send their niece to Whittier College, but she has recently sold a story to a magazine.
