Abstract
In this letter, Florence reports that despite her desire to retire she is continuing to teach for one more year. She is becoming deaf in one ear, but has recovered from her rheumatism. Tokyo is changing rapidly in anticipation of the Olympics and is expecting heavy rain. Florence's sister Lillian lives with herself and Miss Yoshida, and the three of them and Miss Nishi hope to travel to Karuizawa soon. Florence is concluding her editing work and hoping to publish an English learning book.
