Abstract

This project highlights concepts of motion picture photography and not to discuss cinematography as a whole but rather analyse one aspect of cincematogpy, the choice between film or digital format. This paper provides an objective and technical analysis of these formats, as well as a subjective first-hand experiential analysis as a cinematographer that has both worked in celluloid film and digital video. This project begins with a few basic concepts of cinematography. This project also comes with a DVD.
