Abstract

What I hope to accomplish within my senior project is the actual progress within the Disney company. Will these changes to these films actually bring a different perspective to the audience about the Disney company. Or will they create new problems that they will be branded for once again. By looking at the originals critics and choices within the actual film and the advertisement I will see which has more critical success to the general public and if they were successful with the changes they tried to make. Specifically looking at their Princess films since those are most of the films coming within the next few years which we may be able to see some patterns that appear later. These films are also always in the eyes of the public as being the most problematic with their lack of strong female leads and lack of diversity within each fils. With these major changes to live action and their main goals being to recreate their image they have not been successful with their remakes and have actually created more problems for the company moving forward with each film. This making Disney’s ‘Cinderella’ and ‘Beauty and the Beast’ the main focus of my project.
