Abstract
The purpose of this study is to create a business plan to assess the feasibility of creating a vegan fast food chain which provides quality food, a low environmental footprint, and social responsibility. To determine this feasibility, my objectives are to look at the market and trends of veganism and fast food, the workability and environmental impact of sourcing food locally, and the social impact a restaurant like this could have. Within my business plan and research, my main product objectives are to offer healthy and satisfying menu options while displaying a less commercial but still appealing marketing strategy. My overarching production and outreach methods will be focused around sourcing from local farmers and keeping the community involved in the restaurant. The structure of my study will be sorted into phases which incorporate researching these core concepts I’ve proposed, and then creating a business model to officiate this idea. Aside from research, I will also be conducting interviews with people from the industry to better understand the reality of this business. My agenda will be best supported by creating a reliable and strong business model which must have all things considered. When researching the sociological trends in culture and health, I have found a niche for this business pan in an adapting culture. Sourcing products locally has proved to be sustainable and environmentally impactful. The nutritional value research of plant based meals prepared with whole foods has shown positive benefits for health within humans. This fast food chain has the potential to reshape the no longer acceptable conditions of the fast food industry. On the contrary, this business model could promote the progression towards sustainable businesses.
