Abstract
This script talks about the struggles a Mexican family has to face when moving to the U.S. One of the themes of the text is the way that double consciousness has a role in the way a Mexican-American lives in the U.S. The script starts out with a Mexican mother migrating to the U.S. After it continues with her son and ends with his daughter’s point of view. The characters are: Flor, Juan Carlos, Julia, Lupe, Isabelle, Dorothy, and Jenna. The script tells how low income families live and have to support for their families. The struggles the family have to face like drugs, domestic violence, and identity.
