Abstract
This project details "how American foreign policy actions during the 1790's contributed to the development of political parties from their faction status". This project includes research that encompasses War in Europe during 1792, Political Factions and the Neutrality Proclamation, the British Test of American Neutrality in 1793, Anglo-American Alliance background, the Jay Treaty during 1794-1795 and its ratification along with factional warfare as a response. This project also includes more historical research on Washington's Farewell Address in 1796, Factions to Parties, and America's first transfer of power in 1796. Overall, this project is a chronological timeline with explanation as to why current political parties exist.
