Abstract
Program is for the musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine. The musical follows a childless baker and his wife and their quest to begin a family and their interactions with storybook characters during their journey. The plot intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm fairy tales taken from "Little Red Riding Hood," "Jack and the Beanstalk," "Rapunzel," and "Cinderella." The musical was directed by Jennifer S. Holmes and ran March 2007. Program was created by the Whittier College Theatre Department.
