Abstract

Program is for the play written by William Shakespeare. Petruchio agrees to marry Katherina, the headstrong, obdurate shrew so Lucentio may marry Bianca, Katherina’s younger sister. Petruchio “tames” Katherina by using a series of psychological and physical torments, making her an obedient bride by the end. The play ran March 1991 and the program was created by the Whittier College Theatre Department.
