Abstract
Program is for the play by William Shakespeare. The play follows Antonio who lends money to his penniless friend Bassanio to court Portia. Because Antonio’s funds are invested in foreign ventures, he borrows the sum from Shylock, a moneylender. Should Antonio be unable to repay the loan, he will need to forfeit a pound of his flesh. The play was directed by Gil Gonzalez and ran March 2016. Program was created by the Whittier College Theatre Department.
