Abstract
In this letter, Florence asks after Mr. Blotts' health after a hot summer. She and Miss Yoshida are in Karuizawa, where the temperature is cooler and the plants are welcoming. Florence answers Lorena's questions about neighbors, and mentions an outbreak of polio. She reviews her upcoming teaching projects and her private tutoring in closing.
