Abstract
In this letter, Florence speaks about her niece, who is married to an American soldier stationed in the Philippines. A new issue of Contemporary Japan is out, and Florence has been asked to help with a new book translation. She offers her condolences on the passing of Mr. Blott and offers a rubiyat on the subject of her own eventual death.
