Abstract
In this letter, Florence comments on the harshness of Tokyo winters and her increasing age. She briefly compliments an acquaintance whom Lorena knows and expresses her regrets that many of her books, particularly those on the subject of Mu, were burnt when air raids bombed Aoyama. Florence talks about her career, including both her writing and teaching, and her colleagues. Finally, she shares news of a new American grocery store and the coming spring, and signs off with Miss Yoshida's regards.
