Abstract
In this typewritten letter, Florence reminisces about her return to Japan after visiting the United States. She consoles Lorena on the dissolving of the school where Lorena works, and confirms that she has sent some import goods. Florence is working as the president of a writers' group that hopes to spread knowledge about Japanese culture, and has given several lectures on the subject in addition to her writing project with Mrs. Sugimoto. She shares what she's recently learned about "prehistoric writing", particularly as it relates to the concept of Mu.
