Abstract
This project is a field study of three different church youth programs, geared for the Jr. high age group. This covers the formation and functioning of these programs to form one. Two broad topics of discovering if there is a correlation between a program that has been regarded as a quality program and one that is regarded as successful. Deals with the following questions: what are the methods used to evangelize the people? Do the leaders make any attempts at apologetics? What are the goals of the program? How does the programs, and its leaders, get their message across? Are the people enthusiastic about it; if not why? Does the program get the people who are involved interested in coming back with their friends? How are the different programs similar and how are they not? The research and writing of this project is broken up into four basic sections. The first part covers a set of standards to evaluate the programs whereas the second part is the actual gathering of the needed information which includes visiting programs and interviewing the leaders. The third part is the evaluation of information and drawing conclusions.
