Abstract
This project focuses on the history and definition of literature as well as the emerging trends and shaping influences. These styles are determined by examination of Greek, Latin, Japanese and Chinese literature and include trends from a variety of time periods such as Realism to Naturalism. Also discussed is literary theory, the importance of literature courses and different styles of teaching. Attached is also a teacher’s plan book meant to be used as a 1 semester syllabus for a literature course in High Schools or Graded Schools.
