She explains the idea of a kotatsu, the primary method of heating Japanese homes in the winter, and outlines recent charitable efforts to provide for female students, orphans, and others affected by the Second World War. Florence reports that an American grocery store will soon be opening, and that she is continuing to work on research pertaining to fans.
